The science · graduated compression
How calibrated pressure rebuilds an athlete
Hidez provides the only true graduated compression technology for animals: advanced warp-knit construction applying controlled, strategic pressure to key muscle groups to improve circulation, reduce swelling and speed recovery during travel, competition and rehabilitation.
01 · The mechanism
What is graduated compression?
Graduated compression applies the greatest pressure at the extremities (lower limbs), gradually decreasing towards the heart.
Unlike massage fabrics, ceramic textiles or passive wraps, Hidez delivers true structured compression designed to actively support muscular and circulatory function.

This controlled pressure pattern
- Enhances venous return
- Improves oxygen delivery to working muscles
- Assists removal of metabolic waste such as lactic acid and creatine kinase
- Reduces muscle vibration and micro-trauma
- Helps prevent swelling during travel
- Supports muscle temperature regulation
- Reduces delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS)
02 · The evidence
The science behind Hidez
Muscles rely on oxygen, ATP energy production, and efficient waste removal to perform at their best. During exercise and transport, muscles experience vibration, fatigue and metabolic stress.
Overworked or overstretched muscle fibres can leak creatine kinase (CK), a recognised marker of muscle strain. Excess vibration during travel may contribute to muscle fatigue and stiffness.
Stabilise
Stabilises muscle fibres to prevent damage
Reduce
Reduces excessive vibration during transit

Supports lymphatic and circulatory flow
Maintain
Maintains optimal muscle temperature

Fabric & construction
Hidez suits are constructed using proprietary warp-knit technology featuring high-stretch elastomeric yarn, 4-way stretch capability, and a breathable, moisture-wicking fabric. Warp-knit fabrics are more durable than circular knits and maintain structural integrity and shape memory even under intense physical exertion.

Black Caviar: 25 wins. Zero defeats.
The greatest sprinter in over a century wore Hidez for her historic 30-hour flight to Royal Ascot in 2012. Her veterinarian reported zero leg swelling, stable body temperature, and peak condition on arrival at Heathrow.
Days later, she won the Diamond Jubilee Stakes, her 22nd consecutive victory, on the world's biggest stage.

Protocol questions
When Should Compression Be Used?
Hidez compression suits can be worn during transport, before exercise or competition, after exercise to assist recovery, during injury recovery (as advised by professionals), and for extended standing periods (not recommended while lying down).
Are Hidez Suits Restrictive?
No. Hidez suits provide firm, structured support while allowing full range of movement. They are designed to stabilise muscles without restricting natural motion.
Will My Animal Overheat?
No. The breathable compression fabric maintains optimal muscle temperature through ventilation and moisture management. It helps keep animals cool in heat and warm in colder conditions.
Care Instructions
Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle. Use mild detergent. Do not tumble dry. Air dry naturally. Gentle washing extends garment lifespan and preserves compression integrity.
Why choose Hidez?
Hidez delivers structured compression technology built to support serious performance, responsible ownership and evidence-led recovery.
